Appreciate pretty sunsets and watch the sailboats come and go to the Neuse from one of the three balconies in this refreshed 3BR/3BA townhome. This peaceful community on the marina is filled with walking trails and lakes so you can experience birdwatching, deer crossings, fishing and turtle ponds. In just a short 2 min. walk, you can savor access to indoor and outdoor pools, bicycle and kayak units, mini golf, tennis and basketball--all available at the close by club. For the golfers, you can book a tee time at the Harbour Pointe Golf Club--5 mins. away!
You can stay in and appreciate the community, or drive 10 mins. to historic New Bern--a city dating back to 1710 and the first capital of North Carolina. Tour Tryon Palace, originally call Governor's Palace, which was the official residence and administrative headquarters of the British governors of North Carolina from 1770 to 1775. Or sample some Brad's Drink (aka Pepsi) at the birthplace of Pepsi founded by a local pharmacist Caleb Bradham in 1898.

How to find the best New Bern rental experience:
When to go & When to book:
- Summer months are high season in New Bern. Book your rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Pamlico area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking yourrental home:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. 3BR/3BA Updated Townhome on the Marina — 3 decks and great sunsets! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a great stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
